ACM Aerospace to commence operations in Eastern Switzerland on November 1
Thal/Memmingen - The aviation service provider ACM Aerospace is expanding its footprint in Switzerland with effect from November 1. The new location, situated in close proximity to St.Gallen-Altenrhein airport, will serve as a hub for airlines, manufacturing firms and maintenance companies in the region.
ACM Aerospace (Aircraft Cabin Modification GmbH), headquartered in Memmingen in Germany, is opening its new location in Thal in the canton of St.Gallen, which is situated near to St.Gallen-Altenrhein airport. The company’s presence in Eastern Switzerland represents a significant milestone in the progression of the company’s strategy, through which it aims to expand its presence across Europe and bolster its market position, further details of which can be found in a press release. In addition to the headquarters, the company, which specializes in the provision of aviation services ranging from cabin interiors all the way through to technology and loading equipment, has up to this point operated out of locations in the German city of Hamburg, Toulouse and St. Nazaire in France, as well as in Dubai and Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia.
According to the press release, ACM Aerospace intends to create numerous qualified job roles at the Thal site over the next few years. This would be of huge importance to both the local economy and the long-term development of the aviation industry, as the company writes. ACM Aerospace goes on to explain that the major importance of Swiss quality and precision represents another key criterion in terms of the selection of the new location.
“This is a logical step to support growth while simultaneously fostering closer ties with our European customers. The proximity to St. Gallen-Altenrhein Airport allows us to respond quickly and efficiently to our customers’ needs”, comments Roger Hohl, designated Managing Director of ACM Aerospace, in the press release.
Hohl, who was born in Switzerland, worked for eight years as Managing Director of ACM Aerospace up to the end of 2023. ACM Aerospace will strive to set new standards “through a combination of Swiss quality and international expertise”, as Hohl elaborates in the press release.
