Stadler extends cooperation with Huber+Suhner
Herisau/Bussnang TG – Huber+Suhner will be supplying railway cables to Stadler Rail for a further three years. The two companies have agreed to extend their collaboration.
Stadler Rail has chosen Huber+Suhner as a preferred supplier of railway cables, as was reported in a press release. The two companies from the St.GallenBodenseeArea have therefore extended their collaboration until 2023. In the press release, this is lauded as “the latest milestone” in the 20-year collaboration between the manufacturer of railway rolling stock and the cable producer.
“We are very happy to select Huber+Suhner as our preferred cable partner for a further three years,” commented Damiano Freda, Global Lead Buyer for Wires and Cables at Stadler, in the press release. “The reputation of Huber+Suhner within Stadler has been enhanced through the technical strength and quality of its products, which is combined with excellent delivery performance.”
In this collaboration, Stadler Rail will have a cable portfolio to “meet its performance-driven needs as leader in the rail market”. Huber+Suhner will provide “RADOX railway cables, for the power, control, and communication connectivity across all its vehicle platforms, including electric commuter trains, electric high-speed trains, metro, light rail vehicles and tailor-made vehicles”.
Through this continued collaboration, Huber+Suhner will offer a service to the manufacturer of railway rolling stock “which supports the performance potential of this company now and in the future,” said Reto Jaeck, Market Segment Manager Railway DACH at Huber+Suhner.
