Geobrugg enters partnership
Romanshorn TG – The protection solutions manufacturer Geobrugg has entered a strategic partnership with Geoprevent, a Zurich-based specialist in electronic alarm and monitoring systems.
Geobrugg produces a range of solutions including barriers and nets to protect against rockfall, landslides and avalanches. Now, the company from the St.GallenBodenseeArea has entered a strategic partnership with Geoprevent, announced a statement.
Within the partnership, Geobrugg’s steel wire protection solutions will be coupled with Geoprevent’s electronic monitoring and alarm systems. The Zurich-based company develops, installs and operates systems to monitor hazards such as rockfall. Geobrugg will focus on the marketing of Geoprevent’s monitoring solutions with remote sensing, which collect information on a particular area by analyzing electromagnetic waves.
Andrea Roth, CEO of Geobrugg, and Lorenz Meier, CEO of Geoprevent, comment in the statement that electronic monitoring systems can complement or even replace structural measures such as barriers and nets in the future. To this end, they see the partnership as providing an ideal completion of both companies’ portfolios.
