Acquisition enables Benninger to expand portfolio

Uzwil SG – The textile machinery specialist Benninger AG has acquired LAB-PRO GmbH. The move expands Benninger’s portfolio in color and finishing technology.

LAB-PRO GmbH, which is headquartered in Reiden in the canton of Lucerne, offers a complete portfolio of solutions for wet finishing, according to a statement from Benninger. “Especially the jet dyeing machines and jiggers from LAB-PRO are known for having the lowest water and energy consumption and lowest fabric elongation compared to competitors' machines,” writes the company from the St.GallenBodenseeArea.

Thanks to the acquisition of LAB-PRO with retroactive effect to January 1, Benninger AG expands its portfolio, particularly in growing markets. "By combining the know-how and experience of both companies, Benninger becomes the leading system supplier in the field of continuous and now also discontinuous dyeing and finishing technology”. It also strengthens Benninger AG as a total solution provider.

LAB-PRO was founded in 2003 by Thomas Widmer and Thomas Gerhard. They will continue to lead the company as managing directors.
