SGKB announces finalists for the “Startfeld Diamant” award

St.Gallen - The cantonal bank of St.Gallen, SGKB, has announced the six finalists for the Eastern Switzerland Start-Up Award. Planum Int., Health Yourself and Siresca are vying for the Startfeld Diamant award, while Via Communa, VirtualAlpha and ConcentrAid are up for the Startfeld Rohdiamant award.

Three start-ups from Eastern Switzerland, namely Planum Int., Health Yourself and Siresca, have been nominated for the Startfeld Diamant prize. The cantonal bank of St.Gallen, SGKB, also announced in a press release that it has selected the start-ups Via Communa, VirtualAlpha, ConcentrAid as the finalists for the “Rohdiamant” award, while Shop Ahoi, which offers second-hand clothes, toys and books for children, has been named as the winner of the public prize.

Planum Int., based in Staad in the canton of St.Gallen, is one of the selected candidates for the Startfeld Diamant prize. The start-up develops building products that make modern construction more profitable and faster. Health Yourself AG from St.Gallen makes routine health services digitally accessible from the patient’s home. The Frauenfeld start-up Sireca develops digital tools with experts for electrical installation and partners from the electrical industry.

The start-up Via Communa from St.Gallen, which has been nominated for the Rohdiamant prize, is building a digital ecosystem for optimal recovery after a stroke. Virtual Alpha, based in Mels in the canton of St.Gallen, has developed an introductory platform “without any financial risk” for pupils and students. The start-up ConcentrAid from Kesswil in the canton of Thurgau, provides a platform on which people can meet for concentrated work.

Shop Ahoi from St.Gallen claimed a victory in the public prize, banking prize money of 2,500 Swiss francs in the process. Having received 992 votes, the start-up gained the most approval in an online vote. Shop Ahoi is a children’s shop with a focus on inclusion, diversity and sustainability.

SGKB awards the Eastern Switzerland Start-Up Award together with the St.Gallen-based innovation center Startfeld each year to innovative start-ups. This year’s award ceremony is set to take place on June 6. ko
