Maritime Aerospace invests in Staad headquarters

Staad SG – Aeroplane interiors specialist Maritime Aerospace has grown strongly in the last few years. Now it is investing in a new building at its Staad headquarters.

This week marks the groundbreaking ceremony for Maritime Aerospace’s new production building in Staad, according to an article in “Tagblatt”. Since Hermann Bauer and Carsten Matthiesen acquired the company in 2014, they have increased the workforce from five to 30 and correspondingly the headquarters in Staad year on year. “There is still not enough space, so we are investing in a new building at our headquarters together with our neighbor, the property developer Atec Metallbau AG,” commented Bauer in the article.

The company from the St.GallenBodenseeArea undertakes almost all work concerning aeroplane interiors. Its portfolio ranges from leather seat covers to storage units with mahogany-style veneers for business jets, as well as carpet replacements and painting work. Among its customers are airlines such as VistaJet for business jets and Swiss, which has been working with Maritime Aerospace for the past year. “We have done work for the airline including carpet replacements for the whole Swiss and Edelweiss fleet,” said Matthiesen.

There is a focus on Swiss quality and precision, which the company’s clients appreciate. The new production buiding in Staad is also built in this way, making it “a commitment to our location in Switzerland”, according to Matthiesen.
