Vienna and German cities turn to smino construction software
Rapperswil-Jona SG - Vienna has become the first city with a population of over one million to use the construction software developed by smino. The digital tool has also gained a foothold in some German cities too. With this, the construction industry can save resources, time and money when it comes to urban development projects.
Two companies belonging to Wien Holding are now using the smino platform, further details of which can be found in a press release. As the developer of construction software based in Rapperswil-Jona in the canton of St.Gallen explains, Wiener Infrastructure Project GmbH and Wiener Lage Entwicklung GmbH are using the app to support two residential construction projects and the construction of a social institution. Increasing cost pressures and high demand for living space are given as the reasons for this.
Several German cities are also keen to use the app to save resources, time and money in urban development projects. For example, the press release explains that Essen and Darmstadt are among the adopters of the technology. Essen is using it in the construction of a new comprehensive school, while in Darmstadt the app is being used to support several projects, including the construction of a fire station in the north of the city.
The digital tool offers a solution to increased costs and the growing demand for living space, the press release explains. With smino, cities and municipalities can “successfully meet the challenges of modern urban development”, thereby also playing an active role in ensuring the well-being of residents over the long term.
According to information from the company itself, the smino app works by networking builders, authorities, planners and entrepreneurs into an efficient unit. Through central availability, workflows are optimized and projects can be implemented in a time and cost-efficient manner. Moreover, communication pathways between the project partners are made more transparent.
