Zur Rose completes acquisition

Frauenfeld TG – The mail-order pharmacy Zur Rose has successfully concluded the takeover of the Germany company Eurapon and the Dutch company Vitalsana. The move will help drive growth of its Germany subsidiary DocMorris.

The acquisition of Eurapon and Vitalsana has now been approved by the competition authorities, according to a Zur Rosestatement. Both takeovers were carried out by DocMorris, the German subsidiary of the mail-order pharmacy from the St.GallenBodenseeArea.

As Zur Rose announced back in October, the takeover of Eurapon will help it expand its “European market leadership”. Eurapon’s mail-order business will now be operated from the Netherlands, a location that Zur Rose calls “an advantageous one in the European environment for an internationally active mail-order pharmacy”.

With the takeover of Vitalsana, Zur Rose is also acquiring the associated service provider ApDG GmbH in Germany. Zur Rose will now pool together its Euro-region mail-order business at Vitalsana’s site in Heerlen. Vitalsana specializes in the mail-order delivery of non-prescription drugs.
