Zünd simplifies precise positioning
Altstätten SG – Zünd, a leading manufacturer in cutting systems, is expanding its product range with an innovative camera solution, which makes it easier to determine positions for cutting with precision.
Zünd is now offering its Over Cutter Camera (OCC) to complement its cutting systems, as the company from the St.GallenBodenseeArea reported in a press release. The fully automated OCC takes a single shot to capture all register marks at once. Register marks are used to determine the position and possible distortions of printed graphics. The OCC is an alternative to the time-consuming method of sequential register mark capture that had been required until now.
The camera system is powered by the Zünd Cut Center, which compensates for any distortions and enables processing to begin almost immediately. New register marks after each material advance are also captured automatically by the OCC, which means user intervention is no longer required. The high-resolution optics system allows for “quick registration and ultimate productivity,” Zünd explains in the press release.
