St.Gallen textiles company ends successful campaign

St.Gallen – The St.Gallen-based start-up company Dagsmejan has secured CHF 38,000 in a Kickstarter campaign for its sleepwear. Its crowd-funding campaign is one of the world’s most successful to date.

With the mission to promote healthy sleep with its products, Dagsmejan has developed a natural fibre. To launch the product on the market, it held a Kickstarter campaign and secured more than 175 per cent of its defined target, announced startupticker.ch.

This puts it in the top five per cent of the most successful Kickstarter textiles campaigns in the world and the second most successful in Switzerland.

The patented technology used in Dagsmejan’s trousers and tops can absorb four times as much sweat as cotton. As well as helping regulate body temperature, the products are twice as soft as cotton textiles.

Dagsmejan will now start producing its first collection, with the products to be shipped by October.

Catarina Dahlin, CEO of Dagsmejan, explained in the statement that pleased she was with the campaign. “But the exchange with our backers is much more important for us and helps us further refine our product portfolio for the launch in autumn,” she said.

Co-founder and managing director Andreas Lenzhofer added that the company would deliver its sleepwear to more than 30 countries.
