New partnership leads to success
St.Gallen – Militzer & Münch is working with a Shanghai-based manufacturer of polymeric insulators. Within only a year, the logistics company shipped a significant quantity of parts for its new customer.
Among the uses of polymeric insulators is fastening transmission lines to the transmission tower, explained Militzer & Münch in a statement.
The logistics company from the St.GallenBodeenseeArea handles the transport of these goods from its subsidiary in Ukraine. Militzer & Münch Ukraine transports the fastening elements that are required to connect the insulators to the transmission towers.
The parts are transported from Shanghai to Ukraine, where the polymeric insulators are finished. The finished goods are then forwarded to Vietnam. The logistics company is responsible for both the import and export of the goods.
Wihin only one year, Militzer & Münch imported 15 tonnes of air freight and 51 tonnes of sea freight from Shanghai to Ukraine for its new partner. It also shipped 24 tonnes by air and 50 tonnes by sea from Ukraine to Vietnam.
