Model nominated for Swiss Packaging Award

The cream cheese packaging ZOE & ZAZU has been nominated for the Swiss Packaging Award in the Marketing category. The triangle-shaped packaging solution was selected from a total of 42 submissions, according to a statement from the Model Group, a packaging manufacturer from the St.GallenBodenseeArea.

Together with its striking form, the cream cheese packaging stands out with its “simple and sweet impression”, which was created with eight-colour offset printing. The surface is finished with a matt lacquer.

The packaging is designed like a flower petal that unfolds before the customer when it is opened. The inside is treated with a food-grade PET lamination, which acts as a protective barrier between the carton and the cream cheese. The packaging can also be resealed, allowing the contents to stay fresh for longer. 

The Swiss Packaging Award will be handed out on 11 April at the Messe Zürich exhibition hall. Model will also be present at the trade for innovations in packaging technology as an exhibitor.
