Leica Geosystems improves measurement work
Heerbrugg SG – The precision instruments specialist Leica Geosystems has unveiled a new product in its portfolio of measurement technology for building sites. The smart antenna improves safety in the construction industry.
The new smart antenna known as Leica iCON gps 70 T is the latest innovation in the Leica iCON gps 70 series, announced Leica Geosystems in a statement.
Thanks to its automatic tilt compensation, the antenna eases work for construction professionals by removing the need to hold measurement poles vertical. This facilitates quicker, more accurate results, leads to higher precision and eliminates errors, explained the company from the St.GallenBodenseeArea.
Another benefit of the Leica iCON gps 70 T is increased safety at construction sites. Because the workers must not keep an eye on the receiver to maintain its position, they can instead focus on their environment, according to Dave Klease, National Machine Control Manager, C.R. Kennedy USA.
He said: “The user can look around for other people, machines, excavations, motor vehicles and structures. The Leica iCON gps 70 T will make a significant improvement to the user daily experience of their work site.”
