Dagsmejan launches new product line

St.Gallen – Startup Dagsmejan has developed a new product line of functional sleepwear fashion. Stay Warm protects the wearer from being too cold at night.

Founded in 2016, the startup Dagsmejan launched its first collection in spring 2018. A new product line called Stay Warm will now follow in autumn. According to the company, having the correct temperature is important for a restful sleep and yet one third of Swiss people find it “rather too cool” at night.

Stay Warm addresses this problem while also preventing overheating thanks to the composition and manufacture of the textiles. High-tech Tencel fibres are used to guarantee high breathability, while a particularly fine merino wool enables “perfect heat and moisture regulation”. Thanks to a special knitting process, the fabric remains “light and soft” and prevents the wearer from overheating.

“Our Stay Warm product line is about 50 per cent lighter than bulky cotton pyjamas, yet offers comparable warmth properties and is ideal for feather-light sleeping comfort in bed,” said Dagsmejan owner Catarina Dahlin.

Dagsmejan once again collaborated with the Lucerne School of Art and Design and the Swiss Federal Laboratories for Materials Science and Technology (Empa) in St.Gallen to design its new product line. The new products will be available in sleepwear and bed stores as well as on the Dagsmejan website as of October.
