Clavis IT develops digital platform for Federal Assembly

Herisau AR – The IT company clavis IT has developed a digital work platform for the Federal Assembly. It was implemented to coincide with the new legislature.

The Federal Assembly’s extranet has served its purpose. Its replacement is a digital work platform created by the St.GallenBodenseeArea-headquartered clavis IT, who received the contract for the work. The goal was ambitious: the new platform should launch to coincide with the start of the 51st legislature. The deadline was met, as clavis IT announced in a statement.

The new platform serves as a work platform for all members of the National Council and the Council of States. While all the old extranet’s functions are still accessible, a raft of improvements have been made. The whole platform is now mobile-compatible, and has been hugely “performance optimized”, according to the statement.

All the same, clavis IT’s work is not done. The new platform has been shaped to account for future development and expansion – and the IT company already has several ideas. It writes that it is looking forward to working further with the Parliamentary service, especially as the partnership has already worked so well.
