SFS awarded supplier prize
Heerbrugg SG – The fastening technology and precision component supplier SFS Group has been named Supplier of the Year 2018 by the automotive supplier Continental. SFS supplies components for electronic braking systems to Continental.
Continental has more than 900 strategic suppliers, a press release issued by the St.GallenBodenseeArea-based SFS Group reveals. A total of 14 of these have now been named “Supplier of the Year 2018”. Relevant aspects for this decision included quality, technology, commitment, costs and purchase terms. The SFS Group was one of the suppliers awarded, having “convincingly won over customers in the ‘Metal’ product category across the board”. SFS was also said to have “made a huge contribution to customer satisfaction”.
The SFS Group has already been working with Continental for some time now. It develops, produces and supplies components for use in electronic braking systems, among others. It must comply with demanding technical requirements, while the components must also be produced in large quantities at competitive prices.
At a celebratory event, Alfred Schneider, Head of the Automotive Division at SFS, and Sandro Rossi, Head of Key Account Management at SFS, accepted the prize – “on behalf of all employees within the Automotive Division”, explained SFS. “This award reflects our strong teamwork and confirms that we're on the right track”, commented Schneider in the press release.
