ON Semiconductor awards prize to INFICON
Bad Ragaz SG – The US semiconductor manufacturer ON Semiconductor has awarded its Supplier Excellence Award to INFICON. The firm above all praised INFICON’s software that allowed it to improve production quality.
ON Semiconductor has awarded INFICON its Supplier Excellence Award. The company explained in a press release that INFICON has been a “real partner”. ON Semiconductor uses, among other software, INFICON’s FabGuard Process Control System. This is a software solution which monitors production processes for semiconductor elements (wafer-fabs) and in so doing improves quality. The INFICON software has helped to reduce wafer waste, ON Semiconductor explained. The company is now also cooperating with INFICON in order to secure additional improvements to its production processes by using innovative technologies.
Among other things, INFICON is involved in the development, manufacturing and supply of instruments, sensor technology and process control software for the semiconductor and vacuum coating industries. The corporate Group is headquartered in Bad Ragaz in the St.GallenBodenseeArea.
