Kantonalbank invests in Oberriet

Oberriet SG – The St.Galler Kantonalbank is opening a new building at its branch in Oberriet. There will be space for additional workspaces to promote growth.

The St.Galler Kantonalbank (SGKB) is replacing its current branch in Oberriet with a new building, according to a statement released by the bank. The measure is an investment in the future of the location, and with the planning application now submitted, construction is expected to commence in the second half of 2020.

Building work is planned to take just over a year, and then the building will open – not only with space for the SGKB, but also with four apartments. While six employees and one apprentice currently work in the branch, the new building will offer additional workspaces to promote growth. During construction work, the SGKB will move into a temporary branch in the Pitec premises.

“In the more than 70 years that we have been in Oberriet, we have gained many loyal customers,” commented branch manager Jörg Wittwer in the statement. “We are delighted that we will soon be able to serve our customers in a more attractive space.”
