HSG defends globally leading position

St.Gallen - The Financial Times has named the Strategy and International Management course at the University of St.Gallen (HSG) as the world’s best Masters course for Management in 2019. HSG has therefore successfully defended its leading position secured over the past few years.

The Financial Times compares the Masters courses for Management across 100 international universities for its rankings, as detailed in a press release issued by the University of St.Gallen. HSG has therefore achieved first place for its Strategy and International Management (SIM-HSG) study course for the ninth consecutive year. In second place follows HEC Paris, with the London Business School and the internationally operating Essec Business School sharing third place.

SIM-HSG Managing Director Omid Aschari comments in the press release: “SIM approaches management education from a different perspective which sets us apart from many other programs. We put the question of purpose and values at the core while installing in the students the business acumen that they need as effective leaders”.

Several factors were crucial to the evaluation process. According to the HSG press release, these include criteria such as how the course contributes towards alumni attaining professional aims, value for money, the international nature of the course and diversity in terms of the balance between male and female students.
