Metrohm launches new sensor

Herisau - Metrohm has developed a new sensor to measure fluoride levels in the form of the Fluoride ISE. The manufacturer of precision devices offers this sensor in both analog and digital formats.

Fluorides are present in many products. These include toothpaste, for example, although even groundwater contains traces of fluorides as well. Any potential threat posed by these salts derived from hydrofluoric acid depends on the type and volume of fluoride. Metrohm has now developed a new sensor – the Fluoride ISE – to measure fluoride levels, further details of which can be found in a press release issued by the precision device manufacturer based in the St.GallenBodenseeArea.

The Fluoride ISE combines the measuring electrode, the reference electrode and a temperature sensor, all of which is packed into a compact device that makes it ideal for measurements in small sample volumes. The device has been designed in such a way that prevents clogging by contaminated samples. Moreover, the Fluoride ISE is also available in both digital and analog formats.

Metrohm was founded in Herisau in 1943, where it is still headquartered to this day. The company is also represented in more than 80 countries around the world via branch offices and sales partners.
