Construction of new Gema headquarters now underway

Gossau - The powder coating specialist Gema Switzerland has started construction of its new company headquarters in Gossau in the canton of St.Gallen. In the Sommerau area, all assembly groups in addition to production and office space will be combined under one roof. The new site will also be home to a modern high-bay warehouse.

Gema Switzerland has celebrated a groundbreaking ceremony for its new headquarters in Gossau. From the summer of 2024, the manufacturer of industrial equipment intends to develop and assemble its powder coating devices and systems at its new facility before shipping them worldwide, further details of which can be found in a press release.

On a site covering 20,000 square meters in the Sommerau area of Gossau, the company is building new office space as well as significantly increasing the production areas at its disposal. Furthermore, a modern high-bay warehouse is to be built at the site. Upon completion of the project, the assembly groups previously spread across several locations will all be brought under one roof here.

According to the information in the press release, the new test and customer application laboratory will offer 60 percent more space than the old facility and will be equipped with four state-of-the-art coating lines. “This will enable Gema to carry out coating trials for its global customers even more efficiently and in a more practical manner”, the company writes in the press release.

Gema has been part of the Graco Group since 2012 and has subsidiaries in Germany, the UK, Italy, France, the USA, Mexico, China and Japan, in addition to a global sales network encompassing more than 60 countries.
