Atlanto helps start-ups with administration

St.Gallen - The insurance group Helvetia has launched Atlanto, an online platform for start-ups and SMEs, together with the IFJ Institute for Young Enterprises. This digital tool provides companies with help in connection with administrative tasks and business plans, among other aspects.

Having been jointly developed by the insurance group Helvetia and the Institute for Young Enterprises (IFJ) alongside other partners, the digital platform Atlanto went live on January 1 of this year. After several months of further development, both start-ups and SMEs alike now have an overall package to help with administrative activities at their disposal, Helvetia writes in a press release.

Atlanto is intended to make it easier for SMEs and start-ups to carry out administrative tasks on a digital basis. These activities can range from order and offer management processes to customer services all the way through to financial accounting and time management. The Atlanto platform can even help companies to easily create a business plan. Customers can use the online platform to access information regarding issues relevant to them at the respective company. As is the case with the Helvetia Group, the Helvetia spin-off Atlanto is also based in St.Gallen.

Martin Jara, CEO of Helvetia Switzerland, underlines the benefits for the insurance firm in the battle for market shares among SMEs and start-ups. Atlanto helps to make day-to-day operations easier for these companies and is therefore “leveraging opportunities in the extended services business”, Jara comments. While Atlanto does generate fee income, this is not the primary focus: “Atlanto’s main aim is that we reinforce customer loyalty by making often laborious administration decidedly easier for our customers”, Jara explains.

For Adrian Kollegger, Head of Non-Life Switzerland at Helvetia, the online platform is “so clear and simple that even unpleasant tasks are easy”. Atlanto will continue to be fine-tuned in the future, Kollegger states, with new functionalities gradually added to make everyday business for start-ups and SMEs even more straightforward.
