Rehaklinik Dussnang opens new wing

Dussnang TG – The rehabilitation clinic Rehaklinik Dussnang celebrated the opening of its new Tolenberg clinic this weekend. A total of 31 million Swiss francs were invested into the new wing, which features 54 patient wings and a robotics room.

After 15 months of construction, the new Tolenberg clinic was opened this past weekend with an Open House day. Thanks to the new construction, the Rehaklinik Dussnang will now be able to carry out geriatric rehabilitation in addition to musculoskeletal rehabilitation.

The upper floors of the new wing consist of 54 patient rooms equipped with oxygen connections and observation monitors. The ground floor includes a new therapy centre with 12 treatment rooms for physiotherapy, logotherapy and ergotherapy.

A special feature is the new robotics room, which is equipped with two of the latest pieces of equipment, where patients can undergo special computer-assisted therapies that promote balance.

“Our therapists have undergone training specifically for this purpose,” said Michael Kunz, member of the management board and head of the rehabilitation division at Rehaklinik Dussnang.

“Our goal here in Dussnang is to be able to work at the highest medical level. With the new wing, we have now achieved this goal,” added managing director Evelyne Wirz.

The new construction project was carried out by the Austrian firm VAMED, the parent company of Rehaklinik Dussnang, and Engineering GmbH. A total of 31 million Swiss francs were invested into the new building.
