Gema Switzerland builds new headquarters

St.Gallen/Gossau SG – The coating specialist Gema Switzerland GmbH is responding to its growth and building new headquarters in Gossau. Gema will start work there from spring 2022 onward in order to have more space for the growing workforce and to accomplish an increasing number of orders.

Gema Switzerland GmbH based in St.Gallen has reached full capacity at its current production sites. For this reason, the powder coating specialist has been seeking a new location for its headquarters for some time already and its search has now been successful. Gema Switzerland will stay in the St.GallenBodenseeArea and is establishing its new headquarters in Gossau. According to the press release, it has found optimal transport links there. Furthermore, there will be enough space for growing order numbers and an increasing workforce in future.

According to the press release, Gema Switzerland sees the decision to settle in Gossau as a commitment to Switzerland and also to the well qualified workforce. As such, the existing experienced members of staff will in future be continuously supplemented by young professionals. Claudio Merengo, President of the Gema Group, is quoted in the press release, saying: “These are important for us to bring new perspectives and outside views to our international company.”

Work will start in spring 2022, then from winter 2023 the powder coating equipment will be manufactured in Gossau. Gema’s new building emphasizes renewable energies and climate protection, so solar and geothermal energy will be used to reduce emissions as far as possible.
