Debrunner Koenig to acquire Locher Bewehrungen operations
St.Gallen - With effect from January 1, 2026, the Debrunner Koenig Group is taking over the operation of Locher Bewehrungen AG and in so doing will seek to expand its service and product portfolio for builders and engineers. In particular, customers in Eastern Switzerland will benefit from the takeover of the St.Gallen-based Locher Bewehrungen.
(CONNECT) The Debrunner Koenig Group, which operates in the Reinforcements, Steel & Metals, Metal Service and Technical Products divisions, is set to acquire Locher Bewehrungen AG with effect from January 1, 2026, according to a press release. Both companies are headquartered in St. Gallen.
With this transaction, the Debrunner Koenig Group, which operates throughout Switzerland, is strengthening its footprint in Eastern Switzerland and expanding its range of services and products for builders and engineers. According to the information, the company’s Reinforcements business unit, which supplies reinforcing steel, in addition to reinforcement technology and accessories, stands to particularly benefit from the acquisition. “We are combining the regional proximity and customer-specific solution expertise of Locher Bewehrungen and the Debrunner Koenig Group”, as Mitja Schulz, CEO of Debrunner Koenig, explains in the press release.
The Debrunner Koenig Group is part of the internationally active Klöckner & Co SE Group. Debrunner Koenig operates as a B2B trading partner and service provider in the Swiss market. In addition to the Reinforcements business unit, the Steel & Metals and Metal Service divisions supply the market with raw materials and semi-finished products.
