Coltene expands range
Altstätten SG – Dental medtech company Coltene has included new nickel-titanium files in its portfolio. They enable the efficient removal of any existing dental material that is obsolete.
In the dentistry segment of endodontics, work is carried out to preserve damaged teeth. However, root canal treatment, for example, has involved the use of materials that “have proven to be less durable”, a press release from Coltene explains. The medtech company from the St.GallenBodenseeArea specializing in the dental segment has consequently expanded its range to include special revision files that enable the uncomplicated removal of previous endodontic restorations.
“Thanks to their filigree shape, they adapt to the natural anatomy of the canal and efficiently loosen the existing dental material – without the need for additional solvents,” Coltene writes about the new files. The company is adding HyFlex and MicroMega 30/.07 Remover to its range of nickel-titanium files. Other products from this range are then recommended for use in subsequent treatment, such as the “optimal shaping of the root canal”.
