SoFlow named most innovative start-up in Eastern Switzerland

St.Gallen/Flawil SG - The St.Galler Kantonalbank has once again awarded its Startfeld Diamant prize. The mobility firm SoFlow from Flawil won the award for innovative start-up companies.

SoFlow develops electric means of transport such as scooters, skateboards and carts. The company provides these products to both individuals and firms, as outlined in a press release from the St.Galler Kantonalbank (SGKB) to mark the awarding of this year’s Startfeld Diamant prize. The bank awarded the prize to innovative start-ups in Eastern Switzerland this year for the eighth time. SoFlow AG received 30,000 Swiss francs as part of the prize.

Roland Ledergerber, President of the Jury and CEO of SGKB, was quoted in the press release: “SoFlow is tapping into huge market potential with the megatrend towards micro-mobility. Thanks to its well positioned team, SoFlow is able to remain innovative and flexible in this rapidly growing market”.

In addition to SoFlow, four further start-ups based in Eastern Switzerland made it to the final, with each taking home 5,000 francs. These included MycoSolutions from St.Gallen, which develops fungal cultures for the protection of plants and wood, Pupil from Wil SG, a school software supplier, Vermando AG based in Herisau AR, a construction sector platform operator, and Wasch & Härte Technik from Oberriet SG, which is a company that cleans and tempers steel components.
