IQAir receives award in Beijing

Goldach SG – The air purifier company IQAir won an award for outstanding achievement at the Sino-Swiss Business Awards 2017. The award recognises the company’s commitment to furthering economic relations between Switzerland and China.

Frank Hammes, CEO of IQAir AG, was present in Beijing to accept the Outstanding Achievement Award for Small and Medium-sized Companies from the Swiss Ambassador Jean-Jacques de Dardel. There were a record number of applications for the award this year, the third time that the Sino-Swiss Business Awards have been handed out. Federal President Doris Leuthard was present at the event.

“The personal congratulations of the federal president and ambassador are a great privilege for us, honouring the tireless efforts of our employees in Switzerland and China,” Hammes said in a statement.

The award recognises the outstanding achievements, leading position and commitment of the company from the St.GallenBodenseeArea to furthering the economic relations between Switzerland and China.

Founded in 1963, IQAir develops residential and commercial air purifiers. Its products can be used in stationary or mobile situations. IQAir has been distributing its air purifiers in China since 1998, where it employs 200 people in 14 major cities.

“The federal president is making an important contribution to the Swiss economy. Her pleasant and confident manner make the Swiss brand popular in China and the rest of the world,” said Hammes. He also emphasised his company’s corporate culture, which is based on innovation, integration and a cosmopolitan outlook.
