Helvetia Insurance Group supports InsurTech companies
Helvetia, the Swiss insurance group headquartered in the St.GallenBodenseeArea (SGBA), has joined forces with the Swiss Start Up Factory (SSUF) to launch a promotional accelerator program for InsurTech companies. The program will support insurance tech startups whose business ideas might complement or match Helvetia’s core business divisions. The new InsurTech Accelerator is slated to launch on February 13th 2017. The closing date for startups intending to submit an application is January 31st.
In addition to projects from traditional areas of the insurance business, the Accelerator is also more specifically calling for ideas for the house and home division, a business field of strategic importance to Helvetia. Selected startups with a pronounced focus on digital technologies are said to be accepted into the structured program of the SSUF Accelerator. This program allows startups to rely on the support of industry specialists and experts and facilitates access and contacts to potential clients and partners.

On another level, Helvetia’s InsureTech project also underlines and exemplifies the dynamics currently underway in the St.GallenBodenseeArea, a prime location for digitalization.
