Growth course maintained by swissplast

Sargans SG – Plastic manufacturer swissplast is taking over the German specialist CAP-Vakuform. The company is therefore maintaining its growth course while at the same time extending its product range.

CAP-Vakuform specializes in the manufacture of plastic products for thermoforming processes, swissplast reported in a press release. The plastic component maker from the St.GallenBodenseeArea will be taking on all staff at CAP-Vakuform in Dierdorf, Bavaria. As a result, the thermoform specialist now has a total of 190 employees. Furthermore, it has been less than a year since swissplast acquired AL-KO Plast GmbH, also based in Bavaria.

“A clear growth strategy is being pursued by swissplast and this is demonstrated perfectly by these acquisitions,” explained Barac S. Bieri, owner of the swissplast group. “What’s more, our aim is greater product diversification, especially in the manufacture of workpiece carriers and trays. As CAP-Vakuform GmbH is the unequivocal specialist in this field, it will play a key role in helping us achieve this aim.”

Christian and Petra Petrovic are the founders and former owners of CAP-Vakuform. Christian Petrovic will now be joining the swissplast Board of Directors. He is confident that the thermoforming expertise of CAP-Vakuform will enable swissplast to expand its market position and strengthen its growth strategy in a further market segment.
