Stadler unveils seven innovations

Bussnang TG – The rail vehicles manufacturer Stadler Rail is exhibiting at this September’s InnoTrans trade fair in Berlin, where it will showcase seven vehicle concepts featuring a variety of new solutions.

Stadler Rail is exhibiting at InnoTrans from 18 to 21 September 2018. The rail vehicles manufacturer from the St.GallenBodenseeArea will have a stand and an area in the outdoor exhibition grounds. There will also be opportunity for young and experienced professionals alike to gain an insight into careers at Stadler, explained the company in a statement.

The record number of innovations that Stadler is showcasing at the trade fair can be attributed to the record order intake at InnoTrans 2016. There will be first glimpses of Stadler’s two new suburban trains, a self-driving METRO, two new FLIRT trains, a bi-modal locomotive and the latest double-decker train for Scandinavia.

One of the new FLIRT trains was developed for an order from the Schweizerische Südostbahn AG. When the timetable changes for 2019, the 11 new trains will travel on the tourist route between St.Gallen and Lucerne. Innovations include new motor bogies, further optimized carrying bogies and a drive technology that guarantees energy-efficient operation.
