Jossi AG plans to maintain growth course

Islikon TG – Medical technology company Jossi AG is on course to raise sales significantly in 2019. Positive business performance is also projected for the coming years.

This year, Jossi AG expects to see sales improve by 5 million Swiss francs to 35 million francs, which corresponds to growth of just under 17 percent, as was reported in an article by the Tagblatt newspaper. The medical technology company from the St.GallenBodenseeArea is also projecting “moderate growth” for the coming years, said Armin Jossi, CEO of Jossi Holding AG. In addition to Jossi AG, the Holding comprises Jossi Orthopedics AG, which was spun out from Jossi AG in 2009. However, this company will soon be discontinuing its market activities.

Jossi AG manufactures precision medical technology devices to customer order. The growth trajectory is attributed to various new projects that have been acquired by the company. In addition, the takeover of Faes from Wollerau SZ and its Czech subsidiary in 2016 generated potential to increase sales. Jossi AG plans to increase its staff levels by ten from its 120 employees currently. “On account of the severe shortages in the labor market at present, the recruitment of expert personnel is – and will continue to be – the biggest challenge for us,” Armin Jossi is quoted in the article. Most Orthopedics AG staff could be offered ongoing employment within the Group.

The company was founded in Frauenfeld in 1957. In 1964, a new building was established in Islikon and extended several times between 1973 and 2001. In 2009, an additional assembly facility went into operation in Wängi TG.
