Startup scene meeting in St.Gallen

St.Gallen – On 21 and 22 March, the START Summit will take place in St.Gallen’s Olma-Hallen. This will bring together company founders, investors, students and experts to discuss topics such as artificial intelligence, the internet of things, virtual reality and blockchain solutions.

The START Summit “has developed into Europe’s leading student-organized conference for entrepreneurship and technology”, the University of St.Gallen (HSG) reported in a press release. Discussions at this year’s event will focus on new business models generated by artificial intelligence, the internet of things, virtual reality and blockchain solutions. For this, 3,000 company founders, investors, students and experts from the world of business and technology are coming to Switzerland from all over, including China, Israel and Silicon Valley.

Students can take advantage of numerous platforms for pitching their business ideas to investors. This includes the START Summiteer Competition. “Anyone who can convince the jury with their business idea in three minutes on the podium will win 25,000 Swiss francs in start-up capital,” said the HSG. On 22 March 2019, the Founder of the Year 2019 will also be honored. The Werner Jackstädt Foundation prize is worth 10,000 francs.

Rounding off the conference, various speakers will present to share their expertise. The full program can be found on the website of START Summit.
